Roadmap for development of 5G-Advanced networks for maritime environment

ADMO will develop a roadmap for deployment of 5G-Advanced as a part of a hybrid connectivity system for the maritime environment. The roadmap will give a description on how the connectivity of the ships should be implemented to meet the requirements for digitalized maritime operations and give a comprehensive deployment plan and overview on the future connectivity systems utilizing 5G-Advanced in maritime environment.

ADMO project steering and advisory groups will be involved in the process of developing the framework, for gaining business and regulatory insights in the industry both nationally and internationally.

The target is also to provide insight into how the connectivity networks could be developed cost-effectively. The possibilities of implementing the service level requirements in future communication networks will be explored. Further, the need for dedicated channels for transport, potential public-private-partnerships, and new regulations will be evaluated.
